On behalf of the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners, we are pleased to invite you to the KVNR New Year's reception on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Amare Theater at Spuiplein in The Hague. 

Together we raise our glass to the new year, after reflecting on the expectations for the new maritime year.

KVNR deeply disappointed over postponement of IMO NZF

Today, the member states of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) of the UN have postponed the meeting by a year in which the proposal to globally price greenhouse gas emissions from seagoing ships will be discussed, following a week of climate negotiations in London. The Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR) is deeply disappointed that a global approach cannot be achieved at this time, which could have prevented a patchwork of regional measures such as EU-ETS.
