The Maritime Achievement Award is characterized by societal recognition of a maritime achievement. The central question is which development has provided the greatest added value for the Netherlands and/or is a calling card for the Netherlands as a maritime nation.

Maritime Innovation Award
The Maritime Innovation Award is presented to the most remarkable maritime innovation of the past year. It can involve a product innovation, service innovation, or a business process innovation.
Winner 2024: Seaqualize, Heave Chief 1100
Maritime Talent Award
The Maritime Talent Award is intended to recognize a person for their research work or development result. The central question is to what extent this work showcases talent through originality, innovation, and therefore sets a trend with potential for application within the maritime sector in the Netherlands. For nominees, the Maritime Awards Gala is also a very effective way to bring their talent to the attention of a large audience.
Winner 2024: Fanny Rebiffé of the Maritime Research Institute (MARIN), Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sail
Maritime Security Award
The Maritime Security Award is characterized by a sectoral recognition of innovation in the field of security within maritime components of the Dutch government. The central question is which research potentially led to new insights, concepts, or innovations that contribute to improving safety on and from the sea.
Winner 2024: Bas van Berkel, TU Delft
Ship of the Year Award
This prestigious prize goes to a ship designed and (largely) built in the Netherlands that is technically particularly innovative. With this award, we promote technical advancement and reward the courage to experiment with new developments.
